MAINTENANCE AT HOME

WASHING 

• Comb out tangles before washing hair.
• Use a mild shampoo and conditioner. Mink Weave Salon offers great products for hair extensions. 
• Wash hair with fingertips. Start from roots and work down to ends.
• Use gently running water to rinse and do not rub vigorously.
• Let hair air dry.
• You can get hair washed at Mink Weave Salon.

PRODUCTS

• Avoid products containing alcohol. It will cause hair to become dry and brittle.
• Use a light conditioning spray to add moisture back into dry hair.
• Avoid dry shampoo. The product will clump up in braids and cause hair to tangle. 

OTHER TIPS

• Always comb ends of hair first and work up to roots. Comb hair from inside out.
• Tighten weave every 4-6 weeks for longer wear. This service is offered at Mink Weave Salon.
• Sleep with a bonnet, sleeping cap, or hair wrapped in satin scarf.
• Tie hair in a braid before entering chlorine or salt water.
• Use a swim cap and wash hair immediately after swimming.
• Remove weave professionally at Mink Weave Salon to ensure minimal hair damage and breakage. 

FOR CURLY HAIR

• Do not brush when hair is dry.
• Do not use a blow drier.
• Use large-toothed comb or fingers while hair is wet.
